The Meadow Project (2023)
One Lost Tree's second project is a mellower line up with a more serene meadowy feel to it.
In 2022, One Lost Tree found itself still without any definite kind of "sound" (besides Pink Floyd). But we have established a tradition at the OwlFest Music Festival - of performing first on Saturday morning, enabling us to engage the audience in some spiritual way - thru breathing and stretching. etc. (Yoga had already been booked!)
For 2023, One Lost Tree blesses the Blue Mountain Meadow with more breathing and chant and meditation.
The Meadow Project is a collection of newer material, written and collaborated in a way to draw in the audience to experience the "Heavy Meadow". There is also one fun cover of a classic tune.
Suddenly Nothing
This song was born in the surreality of Burning Man and is about the moment a new nothingness sets in. Image Wiley Coyote running off a cliff; that moment of realizing there is no earth below him.
The simple initial progression became the vibe - became everything about this song. The title and the vibe was all i had.Over time this jam became it's current four stage form. Lastly, a friend Robert Davis created epic lyrics to just the music and the title. A personal favorite.
